Witnesses Sought Following Assault in Brighton

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an assault in Preston Park, Brighton on Thursday 30 July.
Sussex Police reported that at around 1.30pm near The Rotunda Café, a man and a woman were in the park when a verbal altercation took place between them and another man.
During the altercation the victim, the 49-year-old man, suffered injuries to his face after he was physically assaulted by the other man who then left the scene with another woman and a child.
Police appeal for witnesses
Police are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry and officers encourage anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any relevant information such as CCTV or mobile footage which could aid the investigation to come forward.
