Bus crashes into Trafalgar Street shop in Brighton

A double-decker bus has collided with a shop on Trafalgar Street in Brighton city centre this afternoon, prompting a response from emergency services. Crews were called at 11.40am to reports of the crash at the junction with White Cross Street.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that one car and one double-decker bus were involved, and that the bus also struck the shop. Damage to the building was described as minimal, and everyone was safely off the bus.

The fire service handed the incident to Sussex Police, who confirmed it was a damage-only collision with no injuries. The road has since reopened.
