Seventeen Black History Month events are still to come in Brighton and Hove, from a free two-day BARCO takeover of the Brighton Centre to a three-film season at The Rose Hill and a free Family Day on 7 November. Dates, times, prices and booking links, checked against each venue.

Brighton and Hove City Council has launched a Civic Leadership Programme with Operation Black Vote, aimed at getting more Black and Asian residents into roles as councillors, magistrates, school governors and trustees. The programme launched at Afrori Books on 9 July.
