Westlife play the Brighton Centre on Tuesday 13 October. Doors open at 6.30pm, support act Ana Sky are on at 7pm and Westlife are due on stage at 8pm, according to the venue's event page. The show is seated only and the times are marked as subject to change.

If you are going, here is what the venue says about getting there, parking, bags, food and cash, plus the other big nights at the Brighton Centre this month. It is on Kings Road, Brighton BN1 2GR.

Getting there

The venue says Brighton station is within a 10-minute walk. Here is how it describes each way in, from its visitor information page.

Train
Walk out of Brighton station, head south down Queens Road and follow West Street to the seafront
Bus
Most buses stop at Churchill Square, then head east, turn towards the Clock Tower and go down West Street to the seafront
Coach
National Express coaches arrive at Pool Valley Coach Station, about a 5-minute walk away
Taxi
Hail or pre-book a taxi with aqua and white livery. The nearest rank is at the bottom of West Street, outside the Odeon, and there is another outside the back of Brighton station. Private hire cars will not stop if hailed
Bike
Covered cycle parking at the front and rear of the venue

Parking and drop-off

The Brighton Centre has no car park of its own. The venue points drivers to nearby car parks, and says the closest accessible bays are in the Churchill Square car parks on West Street.

  • Churchill Square 1 car park, West Street, BN1 2RU: closest accessible bays, on the ground floor opposite the rear entrance on Russell Road. Charges apply
  • Churchill One car park, West Street, BN1 2FD: accessible parking on its lowest level, with fees
  • Blue Badge holders can use the lay-bys at the front and back for drop-off or pick-up, with a 3-hour limit. The venue discourages parking in them

The venue advises agreeing a meeting point a short walk away for lifts home, because the roads get congested after shows.

Bags, food, drink and cash

Bags
Large bags are not allowed. Small bags and handbags up to 21cm x 30cm x 19cm, about A4 size, are fine. A large bag that is let in cannot be kept on you and storage costs £3
Not allowed
Cans, bottles (including reusable ones), food and alcohol. Medical needs can be raised with security on the front door
Searches
Staff may search you and you can ask for a male or female searcher. Declining can mean refused entry
Paying
Bars and food outlets take only Visa and Mastercard, not American Express and no cash. Merchandise takes cash, Visa and Mastercard
Cash
The nearest free cash machines are on West Street. The venue has a no re-admittance policy, so withdraw cash before you go in

Age rules and access

Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult. The venue uses a Challenge 25 policy, so anyone who looks under 25 may be asked for ID when buying alcohol. Accepted ID is a full or provisional driving licence, a valid passport or a PASS card with a hologram.

The venue publishes access statements and Easy Read versions, and the Westlife listing links to them. Accessible parking is covered above, and there is more on the venue's visitor information page.

About the show

The venue lists the tour as Westlife 25: The Anniversary World Tour, the UK and European leg of the band's 25th anniversary celebrations. Brighton Journal reported in June that fans can expect hits including "Flying Without Wings", "You Raise Me Up" and "World of Our Own", and said tickets started from £75.50, with the tour promoted by Live Nation. We cannot say whether tickets are still on sale, so check the box office through the event page.
