Snoopers Paradise in Brighton’s North Laine is running a free Halloween mystery, The Haunted Objects of Snoopers Paradise, from Saturday 24 to Saturday 31 October 2026, according to a release from Brighton BID on the Brilliant Brighton site. Thirteen supposedly haunted objects are hidden around the shop, each with its own strange story, and visitors have to decide which one has the most to hide.

How the mystery works
The search. Visitors get a specially illustrated map and search the shop for the objects, then read each one’s story before deciding which they believe has the most to hide. Among the suspects are unsettling vintage dolls, curious antiques and, in the release’s words, something rather less easy to explain.
The twist. Twelve of the 13 haunted objects are genuine vintage pieces you can buy, each with its dubious history and a warning that buyers do so at their own risk. The thirteenth suspect is not for sale.
The prize. Visitors can submit their theories for a chance to win a £25 Snoopers Paradise voucher. A final revelation is promised after Halloween.
The cost. The event is free, suitable for visitors of all ages, with free entry and no booking needed.

Where to find it
Snoopers Paradise is at 7 to 8 Kensington Gardens, Brighton BN1 4AL. Brighton BID lists opening hours of 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday, so check the Snoopers Paradise website before you go. The site describes the shop as a renowned vintage shop with 90 unique stalls under one roof, selling antiques, bric-a-brac, vintage clothing, vinyl, books, toys, instruments, cameras and jewellery.
