A man has been charged after two men were injured in a collision with a black Range Rover outside Hollywood Bowl at Brighton Marina on Friday 30 October, Sussex Police has said. Police have also said they believe it was an isolated incident and are not seeking any other suspects.
Bradley Bell, 29, of Forge Road, Three Bridges, is charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He is due to appear before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 4 November 2026.
The charge

Sussex Police says a 29-year-old man was arrested on 2 November, and that Mr Bell was subsequently charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
A charge is not a finding of guilt. Mr Bell is presumed innocent unless and until a court decides otherwise. We will update this article when the outcome of the hearing is confirmed.
What happened at Brighton Marina
Officers were called at about 10.30pm on Friday 30 October 2026 to a disturbance outside Hollywood Bowl. Two men, aged 22 and 30, were injured in a collision with a black Range Rover, and the driver left the scene.
In its first appeal, published at 9.34am on Saturday 31 October, Sussex Police said the two men sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital, and that they were struck by a vehicle during an altercation. Detective Inspector Jenny Pietersen placed the incident in Marina Way.
Our earlier report has the full first appeal.
The arrests
Police first arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with the incident. Sussex Police’s first appeal said he had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm and possession of cocaine. The latest release says he has been bailed pending further enquiries.
A 29-year-old man was then arrested on 2 November, and Mr Bell, also 29, was subsequently charged.
An arrest is not a charge. Sussex Police has not named the 45-year-old, and neither have we.
What “serious injury” means in law
Causing serious injury by dangerous driving is an offence under section 1A of the Road Traffic Act 1988. It applies where a person causes serious injury to another by driving a mechanically propelled vehicle dangerously on a road or other public place.
In England and Wales, the Act defines serious injury as physical harm that amounts to grievous bodily harm.
What police are asking for
Detective Inspector Pietersen thanked those who have already contacted police and said it is believed to be an isolated incident.
“We are not seeking any other suspects.”
Police continue to ask anyone with relevant information to come forward, including footage of what happened or of the Range Rover in the area at the time, if they have not already done so.
You can report information to Sussex Police online, quoting Operation Stargate. In an emergency, always call 999.
ImJustBrighton asked Sussex Police for the latest on the case on 4 November and was directed to the force’s release.
