The opening night is Pete Tong presents Ibiza Classics with Tom Richards Essential Orchestra. The festival says Pete Tong MBE has spent more than three decades shaping dance music as a DJ, producer and BBC Radio 1 broadcaster, and that the show reimagines some of the genre’s best-loved anthems with the orchestra.

Tom Richards conducts. The festival says his credits include arranging and conducting RAYE’s My 21st Century Symphony at the Royal Albert Hall.

Todd Terry is billed as a guest, with more special guests to be announced. The festival’s poster also lists Greg Wilson, and says the bill is subject to change.

Saturday 24 July: Sonny Fodera

Multi-platinum-selling DJ and producer Sonny Fodera plays on Saturday 24 July, with special guests to be announced. The festival says he is known for hits including ‘Asking’, and that his latest album, can we do it all again?, reached the UK Top 20.

The release also says his international headline shows and Pacha Ibiza residency have made him a major draw on the global dance circuit, and that all four dates of his March 2027 UK arena tour, including Manchester’s Co-op Live and London’s The O2, have sold out.

Three weekends on the beach

The festival site lists three weekends for 2027: 9 to 11 July, 15 to 18 July and 22 to 25 July. It describes On The Beach as Brighton’s beach festival, launched in 2021, with sold-out shows from artists including Fatboy Slim, Chase & Status, Above & Beyond, Bicep, Eric Prydz, Underworld and Carl Cox, alongside Royal Blood, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Libertines, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs and The Kooks.

The festival won Best Location at this year’s Skiddle Festival Awards. It says its seafront stage hosted 40 artists across eight shows and two weekends this summer, with headliners including Fatboy Slim, Madness, The Maccabees and Moby.

What it means for the city

The festival cites an Economic and Social Impact Report which, it says, found On The Beach generated over £8.3 million for the city in 2025. It says the event attracted more than 59,000 attendees, with around two-thirds travelling from outside Brighton, supported over 300 jobs and delivered more than £3 million in visitor spending across local businesses, accommodation and hospitality.

“We’re delighted that On The Beach will return to Brighton & Hove in 2027. Events are critical to making Brighton & Hove such a distinctive place to live, work and visit, and bring significant benefits to our communities and economy.”

Councillor David McGregor, Cabinet Member for Economy, Culture, Heritage and Tourism

“We can’t wait to return to Brighton beach in 2027, with Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics and Sonny Fodera giving a first taste of what’s to come. We’re proud of the contribution On The Beach makes to the local economy and grateful to our audiences, our team, local partners and everyone across the city who has helped make it a success.”

Music Support and Great Yarmouth

The festival says it is partnering with Music Support across its Brighton series. Music Support is the charity supporting people working in the UK music industry who are affected by mental health, substance use or addiction challenges. The festival says it recently announced the same partnership for its Great Yarmouth edition.

That edition will be On The Beach’s first event beyond Brighton: four days on Great Yarmouth’s sandy beach from 17 to 20 June 2027, with Olly Murs announced as the first headliner on 18 June.
