East Sussex Council Starts Court Challenge Over Plan to Move Peacehaven Into Brighton and Hove
East Sussex County Council has started a judicial review over the plan to move Peacehaven, Telscombe Cliffs and East Saltdean into Brighton and Hove, Brighton and Hove News reports. The government paused the plan on 7 September.

The government has confirmed Brighton and Hove will absorb Peacehaven, Telscombe Cliffs and East Saltdean from April 2028, creating a council of 308,000 people. Lewes District Council is considering a legal challenge.
