As the FIFA World Cup kicks off, a University of Brighton programme is celebrating 25 years of using football to unite communities across conflict zones, from Israel and Palestine to The Gambia, Colombia and Northern Ireland.

Brighton and Hove Albion Women reached the Women's FA Cup final for the first time in the club's history last weekend, playing in front of 43,917 fans at Wembley. The council leader says the impact on girls across the city will last a generation.
