Brighton and Hove City Council has begun restoring 300 metres of Hove's historic cast iron seafront railings, revealing the original Victorian Martlet emblems, following the recent volunteer restoration of the cucumber benches.

Brighton and Hove City Council has published its seafront investment prospectus, setting out plans to transform 13 kilometres of coastline including a potential landmark art gallery at Black Rock, a revamped Brighton Centre and 1,000 new homes at the Marina.
