Brighton and Hove City Council has ruled out a costly rebuild of New England House and will instead open more than 30,000 square feet of workspace at Phoenix House and Lyndean House for creative businesses, while beginning the long-term regeneration of the site.

Brighton and Hove City Council has secured over £22 million from the Department for Transport, plus £3.9 million of its own funding, to rebuild the Victorian era arches under King's Road, after surveys found they were at risk of collapse.

Brighton and Hove City Council has published its seafront investment prospectus, setting out plans to transform 13 kilometres of coastline including a potential landmark art gallery at Black Rock, a revamped Brighton Centre and 1,000 new homes at the Marina.
