Burger & Beyond is open in Brighton
One of London's most talked about burger names has landed on the coast. Burger & Beyond, the cult burger and steak restaurant, has opened its first site outside London at 56 Ship Street in the Lanes, and it arrived with a bang.
To mark the launch the team ran a citywide scavenger hunt, hiding 56 QR code stickers in some of Brighton's most iconic locations. The first person to find and scan each code won a free meal for two at the Brighton site, a playful nod to the restaurant's home at number 56 Ship Street.

How the 56 free meals were won
The opening was marked with a citywide hunt. Here is how it worked.
Find the codes. Fifty-six QR stickers were hidden across some of Brighton's most iconic spots from 9 July.
Scan to win. The first person to scan each code won a free meal for two at the Brighton restaurant, redeemable within the first month of opening.
Follow the map. A map of the QR code locations went out via the Burger & Beyond socials on 9 July.
Anyone who missed the hunt could still get a deal, with 50 percent off from 14 to 17 July and 30 percent off from 18 to 24 July by reservation.

The menu
Dry-aged beef, rare-breed steaks and Americana sides
The Brighton menu brings all of the classics that built the Burger & Beyond name, alongside plenty for vegans and vegetarians.
Bacon Butter Burger. The signature patty with double American cheese, thin-cut pancetta bacon and burnt butter mayo.
Hot Honey Burger. A fried chicken thigh topped with candied red chillies, hot honey, sriracha butter and ranch.
The steaks. Served with roast bone marrow, from rare-breed cattle, with Galician Blonde and Wagyu specials appearing from time to time.
Oso Yaki. A vegan burger with a Symplicity patty and teriyaki sauce on a vegan bun, plus corn ribs with vegan nduja.
To drink there are signature shakes, housemade softs and a considered beer and wine list. The B&B Punch mixes a secret blend of three rums with mango, pineapple, passion fruit and lime, while the Elderflower Hugo Spritz pairs elderflower liqueur with prosecco and soda.

The story
A homecoming for the founders
For founders Craig Povoas and Tom Stock, the Brighton opening is a homecoming of sorts. The pair spent a large part of their childhood in the city, and after an extensive search for the right space they have landed in the Lanes.
The Brighton restaurant is the group's fourth, and continues a remarkable run. Founded in 2015 as a street food concept, the brand built a cult following before opening its first bricks-and-mortar site.
2015. Founded as a street food concept.
2018. First restaurant opens in Shoreditch, London.
2022. Soho and Borough Yards sites follow.
2025. Ten years of trading, plus a Counter concept in Manchester.
June 2026. Named the UK's best burger by the Burger Dudes, and now Brighton opens.
The group also runs Counter concepts in food hall venues across London at St Pauls, Camden Lock, Canary Wharf and Box Hall, and in Manchester's House of Social.
